Rt. W. Bro. Olorogun Moses Taiga was born on August 4th 1947. He is a graduate of Finance & Accounting from the University of Lagos and holds a post graduate degree in Finance & Economics. He is a Chartered Accountant by profession. Olorogun Moses Taiga started his career at the Nigerian Industrial Development Bank (NIDB), as a Senior Investment Executive. He subsequently moved to Unilever, London as an Audit Manager and later to Ernst & Young, U.K. as an Auditor. In 1983, he joined Phillips Oil Company Nigeria Limited, now Phillips/Conoco, where he rose to the position of Managing Director.

Olarogun Taiga is currently the Chairman of a number of Nigerian blue-chip companies, including Modant Marine Limited (an indigenous marine manufacturing & leasing company located in Port Harcourt), Execon Holdings Limited and Niger-Benue Transport Company Limited. He is also on the board of several reputable companies.

He was initiated into Freemasonry in Tranquility Lodge, under the Irish Constitution in October 1984. On December 6th 1987, he joined the English Constitution as a founding member of Ketu Lodge, 9175 where he served as the Founding Senior Deacon. He reigned as the Worshipful Master of various Lodges including Yemoji Lodge, 9318, (1991/1992); Nigeria Masters Lodge, 7628 (2005); Lodge of Excellence 9809, where he was also a founding member, (2008) and Ibadan Lodge, 5316 (2010). Prior to then, he joined Niger Lodge, 3882, in 1994. Brother Taiga has held various positions in the District of Nigeria including P.D.S.G.W. (1998); ADGM 1994 to 2004, DDGM 2004 to 2008 and District Grand Master 2008 to date. Bro Taiga has been honoured with the following Grand Lodge positions P.J.G.D (1998), PSGD (2006). Excellent Companion Taiga was exalted into St. George’s Chapter 3065 in 1992 and promoted PDGSN (2001). At the Grand Chapter level, Excellent Companion Taiga was promoted P.G. Std. Bearer (2004). P.G. Soj (2006) Deputy Grand Superintendent (2005) and Grand Superintendent 2008.

R.W. Brother Taiga is the Sovereign Grand Inspector General of the District of Nigeria of the Supreme Council 33 Degrees of the Ancient and Accepted Rite for England and Wales and its Districts and Chapters Overseas. He is also Past Grand Senior Deacon of the Grand Lodge of Mark Master MASONS of England. He is a member of the following orders: The Royal Order of Scotland; the Masonic and Military Order of the Red Cross of Constantine; Knight Templar, and the Grand College of Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priests.
