Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest, non-religious, non-political, fraternal and charitable organizations.
It is a benevolent, social, and charitable universal organization whose members focus on lessons that help them achieve moral and spiritual enlightenment.
The Mason must exude within him, the great knowledge of the Fatherhood of God, the Motherhood of Nature and the Brotherhood of Man.
He must keep his obligations with respect to his Brother – keeping a confidence, providing advice and guidance, and giving tangible and material support. And these obligations extend to the wives and widows, children and orphans, of our Brethren. And all of mankind.
The Mason ought to be virtuous and honorable, knowing it is his duty to assist in making the world a better, more loving, and more compassionate place to live.
So we search for truth, we support justice, we show tolerance, and we act charitably.
Thus, the three cardinal principles of Brotherly love, Relief and Truth, and the three prime virtues of Faith, Hope and Charity are highly treasured in the heart of a Mason.
It is therefore our sincere desire to leave this world better than we met it.
The first essential qualification for admission into and continuing membership of a Masonic Lodge is a belief in Almighty God. Membership is open to men of the age of 21 and above, of any race or religion who can fulfill this essential qualification among others,
and he must be of good repute
Traditionally, freemasonry does not recruit members by public advertisement or solicitation. You must come of your own free will and accord to be admitted. You must therefore find a member who will introduce and vouch for you if he is satisfied that your motive is worthy, your conduct admirable, and integrity high.
Finally, if you desire to become a Mason you must be prepared to dedicate yourself to such pursuits as may at once enable you to be respectable in life, useful to mankind, and an ornament to the organization itself.
